About Us
Family Crisis Shelter, in Crawfordsville, Indiana has been providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault since 1979. For over 43 years, FCS has consistently grown to meet the needs of our community. We continue to strive to improve the quality of services we provide our clients.
Our team efforts to improve our services include an emphasis on hospitality and a focus on individuals. In the last year we have upgraded our facilities and our approach to working with survivors, so that those entering FCS will know they are in a safe environment and surrounded by people who care.

To provide quality emergency shelter and transitional living in a supportive environment with prevention and intervention services while advocating for the rights of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Our vision is a safe, clean, homelike atmosphere with compassion, warmth and hospitality. Through education, resources, and personal empowerment, we will end the generational cycle of violence.
